Meet The Artist
Lydia Cooper |
 |
|
|
It was not until after college,
marriage and the birth of her
son that Lydia found time to
pursue her love for art
professionally. |
|
She became the co-owner of an
art studio in Orlando, Florida.
She and her staff worked with
interior designers and art
dealers to produce various
pieces for the wholesale
decorative art market. Their
commercial accounts included
hotels and banks as well as
Disney Studios. They were
commissioned by Disney to
produce textured pieces
featuring characters from the
movie Fantasia. They closed the
studio in Orlando when Lydia
moved to Oregon in 1991 to be
closer to her family. Since then
she has gradually moved away
from the large commercial pieces
and returned to her first love,
fine art portraiture. |

Currently she is enjoying one of
her latest phases: hand-made
functional art pieces. Each
image is an original painting
that she has reproduced and then
made into clocks. She enjoys
making these clocks for you and
hopes that her clocks bring you
joy for many years. |
